ITS
Midwest 9th Annual Meeting
Friday, February 6, 2004
Hyatt Regency Woodfield
1800 East Golf Road
Schaumburg, IL 60173
A primary goal of ITS Midwest is to provide a forum to bring together organizations and individuals interested in ITS to interact and discuss the benefits and issues related to the development and deployment of ITS in the Midwest. The premier regional event of the year to meet this goal is the ITS Midwest Annual Meeting. Last year's Annual Meeting had nearly a 50% increase in attendance with a successful vendor display area.
The theme for this year is Security and ITS, however, we have a few special extras. Foremost is a presentation from Mike Freitas (FHWA) on SAFETEA and its current status.
We will also have a short but active business meeting. The board of directors has been considering significant changes in direction for the chapter – all focused on providing more to our membership. More education, more outreach, more opportunities to network, more promotion of the industry. It’s your best opportunity to become informed and involved.
Registration includes:
- Continental Breakfast
- Morning and Afternoon Refreshments in the Vendor Area
- Lunch
- Reception at the IDOT District 1 ComCenter and Gateway Traveler Information System
We hope you are able to join us. Together, we will all learn more about security and ITS and how the two can help each other as well as the structure and funding opportunities of the new transportation bill.
